The family and friends of the late Michael Herman have come together to create a new student award in his memory. The Michael Herman Memorial Award in Arts & Science will recognize School of Continuing Studies students who have demonstrated academic excellence. Three awards of $1,000 will be presented annually.

A key role of the School's planned Centre for Internationally Educated Professionals will be helping newcomers to Canada improve their English language skills and overall cultural fluency. We're deeply grateful to Cisco Systems, Inc. for its generous in-kind donation of technology and ongoing technical support for a state-of-the-art language lab at the centre. The Cisco Canada Communications Lab will provide the kind of experience-based, professionally relevant learning that people from abroad need to move forward more quickly in their Canadian careers.
